We are very proud to announce that Southern Forests Honey won the 2016 Margaret River Regional Business Awards for Finest Local Producer.
What makes our honey better in the eyes of our customers? It's where our honey comes from.....
The honey sourced from the Southern Forests and Blackwood regions are considered premium on a global scale. You only have to visit one of our apiaries to discover the pristine environment of southwest Australia and the honey that our bees bring home everyday is truly some of the best in the world due to its smooth viscosity and individual flavours.
When it comes to the medicinal values of Western Australian honey it is a matter of opinion. We use our raw honey to treat a variety of ailments and are quite confident if the Romans where still around they would be more than happy to use it on sword wounds.
But most importantly our bees are some of the healthiest in the world. Due to our isolation we have no need to chemically treat our hives and bees so you can be assured you are getting a truly healthy product.
As our Beekeepers bring honey from our bees to you, all care has been taken to preserve all natural benefits. No pasteurization takes place during our process, as this removes the natural anti-microbial activity.
We use minimal filtration thus encompassing maximum elements from the honey straight into the jar and our varieties are true to their name. Therefore you may discover slight colouration differences over time and for the honey to naturally crystallize.
That is what pure honey is supposed to do.
We are always happy to hear from our customers about their successes, so please email your stories to us .
MEDIA We are privileged to have been involved in National publications, Radio and on Social Media, discussing the important topic of the Bee Industry, the story of our business journey, together with our honey production and its uses.
We changed from Nannup Brook Farm to Southern Forests Honey in June 2016.
This change heralded a big step forward for us in our honey production and the popularity of our products following some intensive marketing through market stalls, radio, newspaper and festival appearances.
We now feel our honey products speak for themselves.
